I write from home on Long Island with winds kicking up and enormous Linden trees swaying like hula dancers. As Hurricane Sandy approaches, my thoughts and those of the entire Executive Committee are with our members and the people of the State of New York as, together, we face the most powerful storm to strike the Northeast in history. Assuredly, there will be tremendous challenges ahead for all of us, personally and as a whole. New Yorkers are the most resilient people anywhere and I know that we will join together, in our home communities and at work, to restore conditions to the status quo ante. Please stay safe during the storm and participate in local recovery and fundraising efforts to bring New York back, better than ever!
With best regards,
