The New York State Education Department is currently canvassing for Special Education Impartial Hearing Officers.
An impartial hearing officer presides over a due process case requested by either a parent or school district on matters relating to the identification, evaluation or educational placement of a student with a disability, or the provision of a free appropriate public education to the student as per IDEA law.
